I've been experimenting with productivity for a while, particularly with the Pomodoro timer. For those who don't know, the main idea is to set a timer for 25 minutes and, without distractions, work on a single task, after which you take a short 5-minute break. Ideally, you want to accumulate as many of these 'pomodoros' as possible (it's especially satisfying to note them down in a notebook). My main productivity issue seems to be related to switching between contexts and getting distracted by 'small tasks'. There are a ton of apps and plugins for this, but they all seem somewhat inconvenient. In the end, I spotted my friend @gosha_from_the_block using the 'Gravity Timer', which costs about $17 on Amazon or less than $10 on AliExpress/Temu.

Some pros:

It looks really cool;

It physically sits nearby, and you can use it not only while working at the computer but also for other tasks;

Turning it on, off, and switching takes just a second by flipping it to the desired side.

Let's see if it catches on.

Share your life hacks: do you use technology for productivity, and do you believe in all this?
