I've been involved in technology all my life. I believe it's one of the ways humanity moves forward, and I continue to believe in it.
But lately, I've been thinking more about another kind of progress—the ability to see another person. About how to soften the fear and distance we carry inside.
This is something art can do, which pure logic cannot. Theater especially: people in one room feel something together. There's little of that today.
For several years, I've been supporting Streetcar Productions and their long-term project "The Universe of Dostoevsky." The last play "The Mutt" was a sell-out at IATI. The next one, "The Hag," inspired by "Crime and Punishment," is about what happens when a person cannot confront what's inside and turns that violence outward. It feels painfully timely today.
This project is being done by my friends, and I personally ask you to support them. Honestly, money is only part of the issue. The very fact of support means a lot to them: they see that there are people who believe in them. Even a small amount—half of what you'd spend on coffee today—means more than it seems.
Thank you ❤️
