The Value of Quality Things in Everyday Life

You shouldn't skimp on quality items that you use every day.

I've come to the conclusion that you shouldn't skimp on quality items that you use every day, especially if they are part of an important process (for example, work that affects your income).

In my case, this includes:

the place where I live;

my laptop and phone;

the bicycle I ride to work, especially in the summer when I return home enjoying the cooling evening city that fills me with energy;

my bed, pillow, and blanket.

Sometimes it seems that one item costs too much money, but you can use a good test: calculate the cost per minute of use and compare it to something simpler (like a cup of coffee, which you enjoy for 15-30 minutes).

For example, if a bicycle costs $2000, it seems like a lot, but if you break it down over 4 years, 5 months of active riding per year, 20 working days a month, and 1.5 hours a day in the saddle, it comes out to just 5 cents a minute (by the way, cheaper than a subway ride).

What do you think?
