<p>Back in my student days, there was a rumor that you could recognize typed text, including passwords, by the sound of a keyboard. Thanks to recent advancements in deep learning, this has become a reality. A new study demonstrates how modern deep learning models can classify keystrokes from a laptop keyboard using a smartphone's built-in microphone. When trained on keystrokes recorded near the phone, the accuracy reaches 95%.</p>
