Google is starting to test automatically generated summaries on YouTube to make it easier for users to view brief content of videos and determine their relevance. For now, these summaries will appear on watch and search pages.
This experiment is being conducted only on a limited number of videos (only in English) and with a limited number of users.
I think the implementation of AI in YouTube will lead to improvements in search, recommendations, and advertising on the platform. Startups focusing on video summary creation for YouTube may face challenges if they do not find more significant value for their customers.
