🤖🤖🤖 Anthropic has released Claude Sonnet 5 - the most agentive model of the Sonnet class to date.
Sonnet 5 can plan, work with a browser and terminal, and perform tasks autonomously - at a level that just a few months ago required more expensive models. According to benchmarks, it closely approaches Opus 4.8 while remaining in the Sonnet price category.
The starting price is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens (until August 31, 2026, then $3/$15). It is already available on all plans, including Free and Pro, as the default model.
