Sam Altman returns as CEO of OpenAI, and the board of directors has been updated.

<p>Sam Altman is returning as CEO, Mira Murati will continue as CTO, and Greg Brockman is back as president. As part of the reshuffle, the board of directors has also been updated, including Bret Taylor (chair), Larry Summers, and Adam D'Angelo.</p>

<p>Sam Altman expressed gratitude to the team for their hard work and perseverance in uncertain conditions, noting that the spirit and resilience of the team set OpenAI apart in the industry. He also emphasized the importance of each employee's work in achieving the company's mission – the safe development of artificial general intelligence (AGI).</p>

<p>In his address, Sam highlighted several priorities for the near future: advancing the research agenda, investing in safety, improving products, and customer service. He also noted that the new board will include a Microsoft observer without voting rights.</p>
