For a long time, the amount of documentation for code has been steadily decreasing. The Agile manifesto, "code is the best documentation," and constant changes made it outdated faster than it could be written.

AI will break this trend. The reason is simple: with a good specification, AI works significantly better. This creates a direct incentive to document.

I caught myself adding to frequently used notes - annual plans, thoughts after reading a book, lists - a separate MD file with a detailed description of the format: why this note is needed, what its structure is, how to update it.

Of course, I donβt write them myself - I generate them with the help of AI based on my thoughts.

Win-win: AI works more accurately, and itβs useful for me to reread these specifications after some time of not using them.
