Earth as a Billiard Ball

If the Earth were reduced to the size of a billiard ball, it would become noticeably smoother. The relief that seems enormous on a human scale disappears when scaled down: the difference between Everest and the Mariana Trench is about 20 km - that's less than 0.02% of the planet's diameter. A billiard ball has higher tolerances for imperfections.
