Educational Online Club: Joint Course Study

I organized an educational online club for joint course study.

By the way, some may not know, but I organized an educational online club where we study and discuss a selected course together.

This all happened quite unexpectedly (like many projects I get involved in). At some point, I realized that it’s hard to go through courses alone; there’s always a reason to postpone or abandon them. As an experiment, I threw out a call to watch Human Behavioral Biology by Robert Sapolsky together. We formed a group and watched and discussed all 25 one-and-a-half-hour lectures.

The advantages of this approach that I discovered for myself:

Discipline and motivation - it’s hard to skip a week when you know others are waiting for you.

Different perspectives - it’s surprising how differently people perceive the same information. This was a bit of a shock for me.

Format: Each person independently watches the lecture during the week, and then we call and strictly discuss the key points for one hour.

Why am I telling you all this? We have already watched two courses (Human Behavioral Biology (Stanford) and The Science of Well-Being (Yale University)) and are starting the third one, Learning How to Learn: Powerful mental tools to help you master tough subjects, this coming Monday.

If you want to join, now is the time. You need to watch the first lecture and join the discussion on Monday.

Coordination for the course takes place in the chat: https://t.me/+vLlPLToLeX4yMzMy
;
