It’s interesting to observe how the CEO of Anthropic confidently states that AGI is just around the corner (2-3 years), while Dwarkesh questions this. The arguments from both sides are worth listening to.
But even more interesting is the study they reference:

Developers were confident that AI increased their productivity by ~24%. After the experiment, they still believed that AI helped them by ~20%.
The reality: productivity decreased by 19%.
A familiar paradox. I also believe I do more with AI. But I find myself sitting at the computer not less, but more — like a junkie. The ability to do something faster turns into the ability to do more, rather than working less.
