It's clear that no one really works in the style of confirming every action anymore (hello dangerous mode by default), and people don't even read through all the text that agents produce. This often leads to agents waiting for actions or decisions from us that we miss.
I've added a rule to CLAUDE.md: every agent's response must end with an action block consisting of two types of lines. β οΈ means "I can't finish without you." π‘ means "optional, can be ignored." The best tech solution in recent weeks - I highly recommend it.
This works on two constraints. First - β οΈ should be rare: if everything is urgent, then nothing is urgent. Second - the line describes an action, not a problem: "sign the form at the link <url>", not "the form is not filled out."
