OpenAI Introduces "Canvas" — New Way to Work with ChatGPT

OpenAI has released the "canvas" feature for more efficient writing and coding with ChatGPT.

OpenAI has released the "canvas" feature, allowing for more efficient writing and coding with ChatGPT. Canvas opens in a separate window, providing an interface for collaborative work with GPT on projects that go beyond simple chat.

Main features of "canvas":

Select a portion of text/code and write a prompt on how to change it

Edit text or code directly, use shortcuts to adjust text length, debug code, and other functions.

Canvas launches automatically when ChatGPT deems it useful or upon request with "use canvas".

Canvas, built on GPT-4o, is already available to ChatGPT Plus and Team users. Next week, Enterprise and Edu users will gain access. In the future, OpenAI plans to provide canvas to all users after beta testing is complete.

UPD: I tested it for coding - it's just fire. It's surprising why GitHub Copilot, which works on GPT-4o, isn't as good. I don't want to copy code back and forth; I want Canvas to be well integrated into VSCode.
