GPT-5.4 combines advances in reasoning, coding, and agentic workflows into a single model. There are two versions available: GPT-5.4 Thinking (with an enhanced "thinking" mode) and GPT-5.4 Pro.
From what we know: the context window has grown to over 1M tokens (GPT-5.3 had 400K), and there is an "extreme" thinking mode that allocates significantly more computational resources for complex tasks. The model handles long tasks over several hours better and makes fewer mistakes in multi-step workflows.
