<p>On Monday evening, almost simultaneously with <a href="https://t.me/novaya_pishet/46812">the statement</a> from French President Emmanuel Macron, a communiqué from Paris Prosecutor Laure Beccuau regarding Pavel Durov was published.</p>
<p>The communiqué reveals, in more detail, a significant portion of the information that sources from French media reported last Saturday and Sunday.</p>
<p>The prosecutor stated that Durov's detention is a "measure taken as part of an investigation initiated on July 8, 2024 (...) at the initiative of the J3 department (cybercrime) of the National Organized Crime Agency (JUNALCO) of the Paris prosecutor's office."</p>
<p>The preliminary investigation was opened "against an unidentified person (__the prosecutor is currently, understandably, 'fitting' Durov for the role of 'unidentified person'__ — Ed. note) in connection with the following offenses:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Complicity</strong> — administering an online platform that allows illegal transactions by an organized group;</li>
<li>Failure to provide, upon request from authorized bodies, information or documents necessary for the implementation and use of interceptions (data) sanctioned by law;</li>
<li><strong>Complicity</strong> — possession of an image of a minor with pedo/pornographic content;</li>
<li><strong>Complicity</strong> — distributing, offering, or disseminating an organized group’s image of a minor of pornographic nature;</li>
<li><strong>Complicity</strong> — acquiring, transporting, storing, offering, or transferring narcotic substances;</li>
<li><strong>Complicity</strong> — offering, transferring, or providing without legal grounds equipment, tools, programs, or data developed or adapted for hacking and accessing the functioning of automated data processing systems;</li>
<li><strong>Complicity</strong> — fraud in an organized group;</li>
<li>Criminal community for the purpose of committing a crime or offense punishable by imprisonment for a term of not less than 5 years;</li>
<li>Money laundering of crimes or offenses by an organized criminal group...</li>
</ul>
<p>Several other "offenses" concern purely technical matters.</p>
