Podcasts for Entrepreneurial Inspiration

Podcasts and YouTube channels inspire entrepreneurs to come up with new ideas.

It seems that one of the components of entrepreneurship is surrounding yourself with other entrepreneurs, cross-pollinating ideas, and inspiring each other.

One of the tools for such inspiration for me are podcasts and YouTube channels where people talk about their projects or explore others'. You listen, and your hands start itching to create your own.

So, I want to share a list that I find valuable:

Acquired - these guys analyze the paths of different companies and tell interesting stories about them. The latest episode about Nvidia is 3 hours long but very interesting. It shows the full journey of how Nvidia's growth is driven by the AI boom, with a bit of spotlight on OpenAI's history. I like that they start with technical details but then flow into financial analysis. One takeaway after listening is that you need to look not only at AI projects but also at those without which they won't work (processors, energy production, cooling, etc.).

All-in with Chamath, Jason, Sacks & Friedberg - smart and wealthy guys discuss current topics (not just entrepreneurship). I like that they often express unpopular opinions (which is not common in the US). I don't like that they often touch on US politics and can spend a lot of time on it.

Lex Fridman - nerdy Lex interviews people. Recently, I really enjoyed the XR episode with Zuckerberg (I wrote about it before) and Marc Andreessen (who is a very smart guy).

a16z podcast - the podcast of the a16z fund (where co-founder Andreessen is). Overall, it's a 4 out of 5, but there are interesting episodes.

Masters of Scale - hosted by Reid Hoffman (co-founder of LinkedIn), it studies businesses.

How I Built This with Guy Raz - Guy Raz examines the stories of founders of major companies and brands in detail, trying to figure out how they built their empires. The podcast provides a unique insight into the business formation process and the personal stories of the founders.

The Tim Ferriss Show - Tim Ferriss is known for his interviews with outstanding personalities from various fields of life. From business and science to art and sports. Each episode is filled with lively stories, as well as practical advice and recommendations.

Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) - one of the most popular podcasts in the world, where Joe Rogan conducts deep interviews with various guests from different fields of life. Unfortunately, it is only available on Spotify.

What podcasts/channels do you listen to and watch? What inspires you?
