Series of Telegram Hacks Using AI

<p>Recently, a series of hacks involving ransom demands using AI has swept through Telegram.</p>
<p>The scenario is as follows:</p>
<ol>
<li>You are added to a chat where someone asks you to support your acquaintance in a Forbes contest and vote.</li>
<li>When voting through a phishing link, you are asked to log in to Telegram (this is where your account gets stolen).</li>
<li>Once the account is hijacked, the hacker studies the correspondence with other users and finds "circles" with videos.</li>
<li>Using AI, a voice is overlaid on the cut-out piece, telling a story about a tragic event and asking for money urgently.</li>
<li>This piece is then spread to all contacts.</li>
<li>Profit.</li>
</ol>
<p>Recommendations:</p>
<ol>
<li>Use two-factor authentication.</li>
<li>To confirm the reality of the interlocutor before sending money, you can no longer use voice or video. Use something that only you both know, something you haven't discussed online, that happened offline. Example: "Where did we meet?" Ideally, ask 2-3 questions.</li>
<li>Be careful.</li>
