Start of Telegram Channel Monetization

Monthly, Telegram channels accumulate 1 trillion views, but so far only 10% of them have been monetized through Telegram Ads. In March, the advertising platform for Telegram will officially open to all advertisers in nearly a hundred new countries. Channel owners in these countries will start receiving 50% of the revenue that Telegram earns from displaying ads in their channels. To ensure fast and secure payments, the use will be exclusively through the TON blockchain. Similar to the approach with Telegram usernames on Fragment, ads will be sold and revenues shared with channel owners in Toncoin. Content creators will be able to cash out their Toncoins or reinvest them in promoting and improving their channels.</p>
