Anthropic has released new research on how AI is changing software development. Data from 500,000 sessions in Claude.ai and Claude Code showed:
- The specialized agent Claude Code automates tasks in 79% of cases compared to 49% for standard Claude.ai.
- AI most often helps code interfaces: popular languages include JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
- Startups are quicker to adopt Claude Code, while large companies lag behind.
- Simple application and UI/UX development are at the greatest risk of automation.
