I'll start with myself: I have a separate saved chat for almost every task, where I constantly interrogate information.
🥗 Food / Cooking – in this chat, I have saved my food preferences, allergies, favorite and disliked products, what spices I have, and how I rated previous recipes. Before going to the store, I write: “I want something with shrimp and pasta today, I have this cheese left in the fridge, and I also have coconut milk.” It first provides a list of ingredients in a pre-agreed format, and then a recipe. And during cooking, I can change something or ask clarifying questions.
🧑⚕️ Personal Therapist – here I “ask for advice” in controversial life situations. It’s a cool thing: I ask, besides therapy, to mix in Buddhism and Stoicism, while explaining concepts with links.
🎓 Learning – a whole series of chats (one chat per topic) on the subjects I’m studying (for example, Vim, Git, Python, etc.). I believe that thanks to ChatGPT, learning has already flipped. How cool it is to personalize the process: “This and that are clear, let’s skip those, and here let’s focus.” Perhaps it doesn’t compare to university education, but getting into a new topic/technology is definitely much faster than reading documentation.
🧑💻 Coding – there’s a chat for each project, with which we actually program. Writing 100% of the code by hand is already dead.
🍿 Recommendations – mainly books and movies. I have lists of what I want to watch, what I’ve already seen and how I rated it, as well as top authors and directors. I throw in a list of movies playing this week in different theaters, and it suggests what’s worth watching and why. It works better than any recommendation service.
✈️ Trip Planning – if I’m planning to go somewhere, I gradually add thoughts, places, etc. The output is a good itinerary.
