Anthropic Launches MCP — A Protocol for AI

Anthropic has introduced the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — a universal standard for AI.

An important event went relatively unnoticed: Anthropic has introduced the Model Context Protocol (MCP). In simple terms, it's like USB-C, but for AI. A universal standard that allows AI agents and applications to easily connect to various data, tools, and each other.

While it’s just the beginning, the potential is enormous. For example, in a video, Claude directly connects to Blender via MCP and literally controls it to create 3D animations based on a given description.

Why is this important? Imagine that soon any applications will be able to “communicate” with AI directly, without hacks and separate integrations. This will automate many tasks that currently seem too complex: from managing software for video editing and graphic design (like Blender) to automatically managing CRM systems, editing content in Notion, or analyzing data in Excel.

AI will gain access to dozens of tools that were previously closed due to the lack of suitable APIs. This will accelerate the automation of design, programming, analytics, and marketing, and in the long run, almost any work done on a computer.
