Google announced that Gmail is entering the Gemini era. The email service is becoming not just a mailbox, but a personal assistant.
Main updates:
- AI Overviews - brief summaries of long conversations and answers to inbox questions in natural language
- Help Me Write and new Suggested Replies - assistance in writing emails considering context and style
- AI Inbox - automatic prioritization of important emails, tasks, and reminders
Some features are available for free, while advanced capabilities are for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. Everything runs on Gemini 3. The launch begins in the USA, initially in English.
