🎉 New Custom Instructions Feature in ChatGPT

Custom instructions allow you to specify a unique context or request that will apply to all subsequent conversations. Currently, this feature is only available for Plus users, but it will soon be available for everyone!

Here are some examples of using the feature:
- Expertise calibration: Specify your level of knowledge in a particular area to avoid unnecessary explanations.
- Language learning: Request corrections if there are grammatical errors in your query (I wrote about this idea a while ago here).
- Localization: The ability to set the context of a lawyer acting in accordance with the laws of a specific country.
- Novel writing: Use characters to help ChatGPT understand the role of each character in ongoing interactions.
- Response format: Give instructions to ChatGPT to consistently provide code updates in a uniform format.
- Personalization of writing style: Apply the same voice and style as in the provided letters to all subsequent writing requests.
- Code information: For example, variable names, folder structure, which modules are used, etc. (this is pure gold for a programmer).

To use the feature, you need to enable it in the Beta settings: “Settings → Beta features → opt into Custom instructions.”

P.S. It's a pity that the setting is the same for all chats. It makes sense that each chat needs its own setting. Somewhere you need to fix English, somewhere maintain style, and somewhere know about the code structure of the project.
