Nucleus has launched Nucleus Embryo - a platform that allows parents undergoing IVF to see the full genetic profile of each embryo. Now, it's possible not only to identify risks for more than 900 diseases and hidden genetic threats but also to analyze appearance, cognitive abilities, predisposition to longevity, mental health, and much more - for up to 20 embryos at once.
This story began with a personal tragedy: the creator of Nucleus, Kiyan Sadeghi, lost a cousin to a preventable genetic disease. Since then, the company's goal has been to give families control over their future at a level that was recently impossible. Last year, Nucleus offered only 12 analyses, today - more than 900.
Now genetic selection goes far beyond 'basic viability.' The company openly helps couples optimize their choice not only for health but also for intelligence. This is no longer a question of the future: today, you can choose a child not only based on being 'healthy' but also on the likelihood of IQ, lifespan, and even mental state.
The creators speak frankly: not everyone agrees that parents should have such a choice. But now this choice exists.
It's both impressive and frightening. What do you think?
