I started reading the book The Technological Singularity by Murray Shanahan from the MIT Press Essential Knowledge Series.
It turns out that Murray Shanahan was a scientific advisor for the film Ex Machina, and the creation of the film was actually prompted by his previous book.
Interestingly, the last chapter of the book is titled Heaven or Hell. 😈
It's worth noting that the books in the MIT Press Essential Knowledge Series are really great for a quick dive into the basics of a particular topic.
