In the past, I had a cool "project" - collaborative course completion. It worked like this: each person independently watched a block from the course for a week, and then we would call at the same time and discuss.

The biggest revelation for me was how differently people perceive seemingly identical information. As a derivative of this, discussions (even just listening) greatly expanded the horizon of understanding, not to mention that repetition and discussion significantly improve the quality of retention.

What am I getting at? One of my goals this year is to revive the club. I’m sure some of you will find this interesting. Let’s start by throwing in the comments the courses you really want to take, consider the best of what you’ve seen, etc.

I’ll compile my list (though we’ve already completed all of these):

Michael Sandel - Harvard - Justice - simply the best! I’ve taken it twice

Robert Sapolsky - Human Behavioral Biology

Y Combinator - Startup School

P.S. This is all 100% on a non-commercial basis.
