Tesla recorded one accident for every 7.08 million miles with Autopilot activated, whereas drivers without Autopilot experience one accident for every 1.29 million miles. The chart shows that accident rates with regular driving remain stable, while with Autopilot, they systematically decrease. I’m sure we’ll see a figure of '100 times safer'.
I wonder what the number should be for the absence of Autopilot to be banned by law.
