Sensor Tower released statistics on the most popular apps in the USA (Q4 2025). YouTube ranks first across all age groups - from 18 to 45+.
Interesting observations:
- Discord is in the top 10 only among the youth (18-24 and 25-34)
- TikTok is in 9th place among 18-24, but also made it to the top 10 for 45+
- ChatGPT broke into the top 10 for 35-44 (9th place) and 45+ (10th place)
- Google Gemini appeared only in the 10th place for 45+
- Facebook predictably grows with age: 6th place among the young → 2nd place among 45+
- WhatsApp consistently remains in the top 10 across all groups
