<p>While transferring configs from one computer to another, I "thankfully" lost my settings for Alfred due to Claude Code and had to figure it out again and set it up. On one hand, it's very unpleasant news, but on the other hand, I ended up making it even better than it was.</p>
<p>For those who don’t know, <a href="https://www.alfredapp.com/">Alfred</a>; is an application that enhances productivity on Mac through various automations. If you love vi or hotkeys or Shortcuts on iPhone (by the way, maybe I should make a separate post about it?), you definitely need to dive into this.</p>
<p>Here’s what I’ve already managed to "recover" and set up again:</p>
<ol>
<li>Created a script that quickly converts selected files to JPEG. A constant problem is that the iPhone saves in HEIC, which many don’t understand. Here, I selected files, pressed a hotkey, and the same files appeared in the same folder but with the JGEP extension.</li>
<li>Blueman - (downloaded from <a href="https://alfred.app/workflows/bosha/blueman/">the catalog</a>) allows you to turn Bluetooth on/off with one click, as well as connect to devices.</li>
<li>Copy Terminal Path to Clipboard - selected a file, pressed a button, got the full path to the file, and it’s even escaped, so it can be pasted into the terminal.</li>
<li>Share with AirDrop - a bit tricky, also from the catalog, but you select a file, press a button, and immediately send it via AirDrop.</li>
<li>yt-dlp - downloads videos from YouTube, Instagram, etc. Copied the link, pressed a button, and the video is in Downloads.</li>
<li>Fix Grammar - my favorite and most frequently used. I selected text, pressed a button, it sent it to OpenAI ChatGPT with the request "fix the grammar," and immediately updated the text. I use it about 40 times a day, saving a million times more time. It’s an order of magnitude faster than copying text back and forth in ChatGPT.</li>
</ol>
<p>In general, this is just the beginning. Share your secrets on how to speed up work on the computer.</p>
<p>P.S. The golden rule - everything you can do without a mouse speeds up your work by 10 times.</p>
