⭐️ The experiment in Telegram with stars (one star = 1 cent) is interesting, but I’m sure it will fail.
On one hand, it’s cool to develop the habit of "thanking" for content, but on the other hand, millions of previous experiments show that it just doesn’t work, the economics don’t add up, and people don’t want to pay voluntarily for what they can get for free.
The solution becomes either to put part of the content behind a paywall (by the way, Telegram is also gradually implementing this), or the classic advertising model.
On the other hand, Durov conducts many experiments, some of them fail (like channel boosts), while others are quite successful. Let’s see what happens this time. What do you think about this?
