On X, a screenshot from Etherscan is being circulated: a new address, only a few minutes old, received about 195,000 ETH (~$450 million) and another $1.75 billion in tokens, totaling 63, from Binance wallets. The tweet's author states that the contract call was paid through Tornado Cash, and it looks very much like a hack.

This is not yet confirmed. Neither Binance nor major media have reported anything. Exchanges regularly move funds to new addresses, and the screenshot shows that the address was funded by Binance 14 and Binance 16 wallets. "Tornado Cash" labels on small incoming transfers often turn out to be address poisoningβspam from similar addresses, not an attacker's trace. In 2022, there was a similar panic when $590 million in BNB went to a fresh address.
If this is indeed a hack, it would be the largest theft in crypto history: more than the $1.5 billion from Bybit in February 2025. That money was attributed to Lazarus from North Korea after a few days. Watching closely.
