Interestingly, technological revolutions always challenge social norms. One example is when the telephone appeared; it was considered improper to greet someone you hadn’t been introduced to. Because of this, in many languages, greetings split into two words. For instance, in French, there’s allo (for the phone) and bonjour (for in-person meetings).
I think new technologies will challenge even more.
